Overview of the Changes

Chipmunks Northland is undergoing rebranding. Effective from Monday 13th May 2024, it will no longer operate under the Chipmunks franchise. Various factors contribute to the decision for a store to rebrand. For a more detailed explanation, please continue reading below. 

Due to this change, we’ve disabled the birthday and private venue hire features on our website to avoid confusion. To book at Billy Lids Playland, please refer to the store details below.

Operations will continue as usual at Chipmunks Northland until Sunday 12th April 2024. Following this, the venue will operate under a new name, Billy Lids Playland. The store will continue to trade as usual under the same owner and same management team.

Below, you’ll find essential information regarding upcoming birthday party bookings, private venue hire, gift cards, and multi-passes. 

We respect Chipmunks Northland’s new direction and independence. Yet, our foremost priority is to keep our customers informed and supported, particularly regarding existing bookings, to help you make informed decisions and effectively plan your visits during this transition.

For bookings scheduled after Sunday 12th May 2024, please note the following important changes: 

  • The venue will continue as an indoor playground but will no longer feature Chipmunks-themed partyware and merchandise, reflecting the transition to a new store name, Billy Lids Playland. As a result, your booking will be governed by new terms and conditions, and the available party packages may vary from those previously offered. 
  • We strongly encourage contacting the store directly as soon as possible to discuss any adjustments to your booking or to express any concerns. Ensuring your satisfaction and providing peace of mind remain our priorities. 
  • Should these changes impact your decision to maintain your booking, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit from the business who is currently associated with Chipmunks, this store being Billy Lids Playland. Please initiate this refund immediately, as Head Office will not be able to provide any assistances after Thursday 9th May 2024. For assistance or if you encounter any issues obtaining your refund, contact [email protected].  

Our Head Office is limited in direct intervention post-termination but will facilitate communication with the new business to address your concerns prior to the termination date. Read more below.

Gift Cards, Printed Vouchers & Multi-Passes

If you possess a Chipmunks gift card, printed vouchers (such as fun passes, coffee loyalty cards), or a multi-pass, please be assured these will continue to hold value at the rebranded store. However, we wish to inform you that with the transition to a new name and management, there might be changes in the pricing structure and the services offered. 

As such, the value or service your gift card, voucher, or pass entitles you to might vary under the new store’s policies. We encourage you to get in touch with the store directly for the most current information and to clarify how these changes might affect the usage of your existing passes or cards. 

If you have questions or need further clarification regarding the validity, acceptance, or terms associated with your gift cards or multi-passes, please don’t hesitate to contact the store. They are best positioned to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information. 

Subscriber Communication Policy

As part of this transition, Chipmunks Northland will reach out to you via email to inquire if you wish to unsubscribe from their mailing list. It’s crucial to note that this store will no longer be a Chipmunks franchise; however, if you do not respond to the unsubscribe request, you will continue to receive updates and marketing communications under the new brand. Should you choose to unsubscribe, your personal details will be removed from their database in accordance with your wishes. Your privacy and communication preferences are your right, and the new store will need to honour it, and they will be respected throughout this transition.

Please understand that while Head Office can forward information to the new business, our ability to intervene directly is limited. We encourage you to bring any concerns to our attention before the termination date. We are committed to assisting wherever possible and will do our best to address your concerns and facilitate communication with the new business owners. After the termination date, our capacity to manage issues related to the new establishment will be significantly reduced, so we urge you to reach out to us promptly with any questions or issues.

In the case of Chipmunks Northland, the store is undergoing this change and, as of Monday 13th May 2024, will no longer operate under the Chipmunks brand. This is not a reflection on the quality of the brand or the store but a new direction for the local business owners. We are committed to supporting them, and all parties involved, through this transition.

Please be advised that after the termination date, Chipmunks Playland & Café will not be held liable for any discrepancies, changes in service levels, or issues that may arise under the new management and ownership.
